Description
Description: Blushspark embarks on an adventure from their middle world into the sky to search for the creature she keeps hearing in the sky.

Summary
Summary: Blushspark and her civilization are from a middle world between the Earth and the sky. Blushspark was out collecting 'rocks'; they look and form like rocks but when you open them up, there is precious meat in the middle very useful. While out, she comes across a Skyspark, something she had never come across before; an eerie noise and flash of light that has never been heard or seen before. She goes back to report it to Elder, and is told not to explore it anymore as those who have ventured further to the sky almost never return because of the thin air or being attacked by other creatures out there. On the next hunt cycle, she encounters the same noise that only she can hear and is finally given permission by the elders to go and explore what she hears. After much preparation, she heads up towards the sky and finally crosses paths with the Skyspark. It is a completely unknown creature from even beyond the sky. She finally learns that there is much more way beyond the sky that nobody was able to learn or archive. She will always carry the song of the Skyspark with her.

Excerpt
Excerpt: Of course, that wouldn't save them if this part of Hotwall collapsed. She could hear the deep-thunder splitting of rock in the distances, a sudden shrieking of a vent pinched almost shut; her skin visioned the panicked movement of flakefish and giant orvanel, discharges of life-signals bright and urgent; she thought she picked up Jetgrab's cursing from the other side of the valley. And above all, the sharp, shattering, groaning howl as the sky broke far above.
